In April of 2002, I decided to take the next step and begin collecting the entire series. I chose proof coinage because, well, it's beautiful! Now, even though I assembled a complete set, my heart is really still with the 1964, so I'm always on the hunt for tasty examples to add to the stash.

Another coin that I love is the Walking Liberty half dollar. It's a timeless and beautiful design that, in my opinion, is one of the most attractive coins ever minted. I decided to build a matched set in MS64, and I'm working on the short set, since I'm not made of money. The goal in this set is to have only PQ coins with striking luster. Tough to do in MS64!

Before I knew it, I was branching out in to other series. I guess that's the way of coin collecting, isn't it? I'm now working on a modern proof type set, and have finished a set of modern proof Commemorative Half Dollars (just can't get enough of those proofs!). I'm also building a set of circulation strike Two Cent Pieces. I think the 2¢ is a fabulous little coin, with a cool design and rich in history.
